His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Al-Abadi has met Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri, on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
During the meeting, they have discussed the development of relations between the two countries, the situation in the region and the means to solve it, in addition to the vision presented by Iraq regarding the future of the region.

His Excellency Prime Minister Dr.Haider AL-Abadi has met German Federal Defense Minister Ursula von der Leyen on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos.
The German Federal defense minister has confirmed her country's support for the unity and stability of Iraq, its continued training of Iraqi forces and exerting efforts to strengthen relations between the two countries in various fields.
They have discussed the situation in the region and the importance of its stability.

In continuation of its efforts to re-represent Iraq in international forums, the efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs culminated in the adoption of a resolution at the third session of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEA) in December 2017 entitled "Mitigation and Control of Pollution in Areas Affected by Armed Conflict or Terrorism" ), Which will allow Iraq to benefit from the support of the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) and a number of other countries affected by terrorism in providing support to mitigate the effects of pollution in areas hit by terrorism.

His Excellency Prime Minister Dr. Haider Abadi has received, in his office today on Wednesday, the heads of the Christian denominations.
His Excellency has congratulated them on the occasion of Christmas and New Year, wishing everyone a year of love and peace, stressing the government's care for all citizens regardless of their religious or political affiliation,
