Ambassador Nizar Al-Khairallah Participates in a Public Diplomacy Event at George Washington University

His Excellency Ambassador Nizar Al-Khairallah participated in the event “Engaging America: Ambassadorial Perspectives on Public Diplomacy,” organized by the Institute for Public Diplomacy and Global Communication (IPDGC) at George Washington University.
In his remarks, Ambassador Al-Khairallah outlined Iraq’s strategic approach to developing its relations with the United States on the basis of strategic partnership and constructive dialogue, noting that Iraq–U.S. relations are grounded in a pragmatic vision that emphasizes shared interests and long-term cooperation.
The Ambassador underscored the importance of public and cultural diplomacy in building bridges of understanding and closeness between the peoples of Iraq and the United States, highlighting its role in promoting a positive image of Iraq and showcasing the country’s rich cultural and civilizational diversity.
He further stressed that Iraq seeks to build on common ground and strengthen the values of cooperation in the cultural, educational, and economic fields, thereby establishing sustainable relations based on mutual respect and shared interests, in support of development goals and regional integration.
This participation comes as part of the Iraqi Embassy’s ongoing efforts in Washington, D.C. to enhance engagement with academic and intellectual institutions in the United States and to promote cultural and diplomatic dialogue between the two nations.
