H.E. Ambassador Nazar Al-Khirullah convened a productive roundtable discussion with senior staffers from key committees at the U.S. Senate.
The dialogue focused on Iraq’s evolving political, security, and economic landscape, the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for November 11, 2025, the growing presence of U.S. companies in Iraq, and the strengthening Iraq–U.S. partnership.
Discussions highlighted thriving cooperation in energy, agriculture, and education, as well as opportunities to further expand the partnership, particularly through the Development Road Project, and the ongoing security collaboration between Iraq and the United States.
The Embassy extends sincere appreciation to the participating Senate staffers for their constructive engagement and looks forward to ongoing dialogue to further enhance the Iraq–U.S. partnership.
