During his visit to Omaha, Nebraska, the Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United States, Mr. Nazar Al-Khairallah, met with the President and CEO of the Nebraska Farm Bureau and several leaders of agricultural institutions. The discussions focused on exploring prospects for cooperation in the fields of smart agriculture and agricultural trade, as well as the development of food supply chains to strengthen economic cooperation between the two countries.
The two sides discussed partnership opportunities in the production of wheat, corn, and ethanol, and the exchange of expertise in water resource management and advanced irrigation technologies.
They also explored ways to enhance cooperation in sustainable agriculture and related modern technologies, in support of localizing agricultural technology, promoting sustainable development, and fostering innovation within Iraq’s agricultural sector
