On Tuesday, April 8, 2025, the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Washington, D.C., hosted a roundtable discussion with a group of researchers and experts from the Washington Institute for Near East Policy. The meeting focused on the trajectory of Iraq-U.S. relations and ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation, particularly in the economic and energy sectors, by attracting specialized American companies to invest in Iraq.
The dialogue also addressed Iraq’s vision for promoting regional stability, key developments on the Arab and international scenes, as well as prospects for cooperation in counterterrorism and addressing shared security challenges.
The Embassy reaffirmed its commitment to deepening partnerships with U.S. research institutions and benefiting from their intellectual and policy expertise to support the strategic dialogue between Iraq and the United States and to enhance mutual understanding.
