Consular Section Announcement
The Consular Section of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Washington extends its warmest greetings to the esteemed Iraqi community and announces the adoption of a pre-electronic reservation system for completing consular transactions, effective November 1, 2025.
This system aims to facilitate procedures, organize appointment times, and reduce waiting periods to ensure a smooth workflow and high-quality service for our community.
Steps for Electronic Reservation:

Access the Link: Visit https://icass.mofa.gov.iq/

Select the Mission: Choose (Embassy of the Republic of Iraq – Washington).

Select Transaction Type: General Power of Attorney / Special Power of Attorney / Legalizations / Life Certificates and Affidavits / Non-Criminal Record / Support Letters / Birth Notifications / Death Certificates / Laissez-Passer / Notice and Dismissal of Agent.

Verification: Enter your email and date of birth, then enter the verification code sent to your email.

Personal Information: Enter your personal details, address, and contact information accurately.

Confirmation: Confirm the reservation and receive the appointment notification via email.

Arrival at the Consulate: Upon arrival, please present the appointment notification (QR code) to the receptionist to be scanned electronically.

Birth or Death Certificates: You must first fill out the transaction form electronically via the same link, then book the appointment through the platform.
Important Notes:
Mandatory Requirement: Electronic reservation is mandatory; no visitor will be received without a prior appointment.
Personal Booking: The reservation must be in the name of the transaction owner only. A separate appointment is required for each family member, even if visiting on the same day.
Punctuality & Documents: Please arrive on time with all required documents and the reservation notice (QR code). Ensure all entered information is correct to avoid delays.
No Rescheduling: Appointments cannot be postponed or cancelled once fixed. If you miss your appointment, you must book a new one.
Personal Data: Use your personal email and contact details only. Using third-party data may result in the cancellation of the appointment.
Free Service: The reservation service is completely free and intended to simplify and accelerate procedures.
